Thanks for letting me be a part of this! I’ve never been part of any ranking video before, so this is a new experience for me! For any one interested, here are my reasonings: (Yeah, they’re in reverse. I ranked them starting with my #1 pick, so that’s why they’re in reverse order. If you prefer the typical, worst to best arrangement, you can just read them in reverse.) 1. Millennia Picking a number 1 for this album was tricky, but I think I’d have to go with this one. I really like the overall somber feel it has. 2. Nobody Like You This song just feels so peaceful and nostalgic, like sitting outside on quiet spring morning. 3. Crucified I like the glitchy and sad feeling in the drop. It feels very epic and grand. 4. Changed CloudNone is hit or miss for me, but when he hits, I absolutely love it. This is one of those hits. 5. Urban Foxes I really like the vocal chops on this one. The melody is also very nice. 6. Iris in the Dark I really love the melody and overall dark theme of this one. It gives me chills. It’s such a fantastic use of C# minor, one of my favorite minor scales. 7. Time Travel Kool Aid I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I was expecting it to be just another poppy HaO song that I wasn’t into. But I really like the melancholy and atmospheric feeling it has. 8. Where I Belong Although I’m not really into the drop here, I LOVE the intro. The chord progression has a certain feeling to it that feels sort of eerie, but also uplifting. Every time this song starts, I’m caught off-guard by that unique intro. 9. Mark Twain This one actually reminds me of Aero Chord. I didn’t expect this from HaO, but I like it. 10. Night Cap Another pleasant surprise here. I haven’t been into Terry Zhong in the past, but I really like this one for some reason. I especially love the peaceful bells at the very end. 11. Margarita I didn’t expect to hear this type of song from Direct and CloudNone, but it works really well. Their collabs were starting to sound a hit too similar in my opinion, so this was refreshing, and groovy as well! 12. Empty Sky I always love DESERT STAR. Although this was probably my least favorite from him as DESERT STAR so far, I still enjoyed it. 13. Enough A really nice song from Glacier. I like this more than I like most of his songs. 14. Loverus This was refreshing for me considering how much I disliked I Can’t and Stuck in Your Head. I like the nostalgic feeling it gives off. 15. Clarity Man, that first drop is crazy! It almost sounds like it belongs on Uncaged. But yeah, Bad Computer doing breaks isn’t something I ever expected to see. 16. Million Days I like the slow, bittersweet feeling here. 17. Feel That Way Whenever a major 4-chord is introduced into a minor key, it always makes me like the chord progression twice as much. That’s the case here. 18. WISH Not my favorite of the WISH EP, but it’s still a nice, relaxing listen. 19. No Sleep I like this a little more than Tails’s other songs. The sad feel is nice. 20. YES This is where we cross into songs that I’m not too interested in. This was cool, but not my thing. 21. Ubi As much as I respect how complex Glacier’s EP was, most of the songs just weren’t really for me, this song included. 22. Home Alright This one feels pretty generic and not really what I’m into, although I like it more than Play it Cool. 23. Labyrinth This one disappointed me considering how much I love Direct, but I still like it a little. 24. Give You Up I like the drums, but the melody feels a little empty. 25. Somebody Ehh, I prefer Gareth Emery’s trace by a long shot. 26. Butterfly Effect I don’t really like the chord progression as it feels a bit overly-dark for the lighter feel that Koven were going for here. 27. I’ll Go Interesting change of styles for Direct, but not really my thing. 28. Trouble I like this one a little. 29. Get To Know You The drop is groove, but not my thing. 30. Fighters I do like the euphoric drop, but I’m still not really into modern Conro. 31. Only You Another one that was groovy but not interesting to me. 32. Still I really respect this one, but it just isn’t my style. 33. Black and Blue Probably my least favorite of SLUMBERJACK’S Monstercat songs. I wish the drop were a bit more powerful. 34. You Used To I wish I liked Duumu’s style more, since everyone else seems to love him. The only songs by him I still love are For Her, What Feels Right, Tide, and Candycane Oasis. 35. Play It Cool Uninteresting to me. 36. All For Nothing (Duumu & MYRNE) This one just disappointed me. 37. Meant to Be I appreciate that Aiobahn tried something a little different, but I unfortunately like this even less than his normal style. 38. I Feel Human Another Vicetone one that I will forget about completely. 39. Scared Another HaO one that I’ll probably forget about. 40. Without Your Love Another Conro one that I already pretty much forgot about.

Thanks, man. Thanks for the opportunity to be featured on these videos the past few rankings, it's meant a lot to me! Here are my reasonings for my personal ranking. First of all, let me just say this was a VERY mediocre album. Between 40th and maybe around 10th everything is between a 6 and an 8 out of 10 for me. But this album has its gems, like every album does. 40. Empty Sky Does not belong on Monstercat. This isn't remotely electronic, nor can I stay awake to hear the whole 2 minutes. I used to like Desert Star, heck, his debut was #1 for me on the album it was on, but he's gotten so much worse. 39. Million Days Bleh. Generic future bass. 38. Without Your Love Meh, just another Conro song about his crush. 37. No Sleep I do not like Tails. Cobra was pretty good, but this ain't no Cobra. 36. Nobody Like You I just don't care to rank it any higher, that's all. 35. Scared Half an orange always tries to write relatable lyrics for his audience. Sometimes he does well, sometimes he doesn't. Here, he doesn't. WRLD made it listenable, though. 34. Give You Up Not bad production, just kinda boring for DnB for me. 33. Play It Cool I am convinced Terry Zhong is the next Conro. That could either be really good or really meh. 32. Where I Belong I want to like this more. It has cool sounds and I like that B-flat-major chord thrown in there...but I'm not a huge fan of Protostar's DnB. For some reason I can't get into it. 31. Trouble I definitely think this isn't bad. If I were more of a Nonsens fan (which I would be if he hadn't poisoned us all a few albums back), then I'd like it more. But it's definitely catchy. 30. Loverus Make More Instinct Please Tony Romera! It may not be the best but it's miles better than your Uncaged stuff. 29. Black And Blue Not a bad song, just too sad for me to listen to. 28. Night Cap I find it mildly annoying while not being outright horrendous. 27. I Feel Human I really like the repetitive "I feel human" in the drops, that being said it is still generic Vicetone. 26. All For Nothing Really good but way too empty. 25. You Used To Man, this would rank so much higher if it weren't released in the middle of winter. It's so fun and catchy but it feels too weird to like it now for me to rank it any higher. 24. Crucified Uncaged Slumberjack is better than instinct slumberjack IMO, so this didn't rank SUPER high, but it's still not bad. 23. Home Alright His best, because the lyrics are better than his others I think. 22. Labyrinth It's beautiful, but it feels like Generic-Direct. 21. Clarity Good ole Bad Computer. I like the breaks in this one too! 20. Still I didn't like Glacier when he first joined Monstercat back in 2016, but this song is better than what he made back then. 19. Feel That Way A bit of a surprise, but I like surprises. Didn't expect the 6/8 time sig. 18. Somebody I really love the nostalgic feel of this. I remember hearing this and instantly being like "this is the type of melody I would've thought up back in middle school". For context, I had a bunch of random, yet really good, song ideas back then without making any of those songs. I don't really remember most of them. And yes, I liked middle school! That's when I first heard Monstercat. 17. Changed I'm glad this happened. This is an extremely satisfactory collab. 16. Mark Twain This is more intriguing than good, and I don't mind it. 15. Only You Read the next one. 14. Get To Know You I think I'm really gonna like Dexter King. 13. Fighters Finally, a Conro song where he's not singing about his crush! This does try too hard to be Take Me There, but what pushes it up to #13 for me is the fact that the lyrics are actually really good. 12. Enough Man, this is so catchy. I really like the melody he uses in the drop, and how he builds on it throughout the song. 11. Butterfly Effect Really well done song by Koven. Not much else to really say. 10. Ubi Really freaking catchy, definitely Glacier's best. 9. Meant To Be This is the Aiobahn I like, not that Medusa crap (sorry TCHMZ, I know you ranked that 4th on IV4). I like how this song, while still being house music, has a more trance-y feel to it. 8. Yes Artist who's really good at producing + my favorite house subgenre = THIS 7. Iris In The Dark This is proof that when something goes wrong, the Monstercat community is strong enough to make sure it's fixed. Thank you to everyone who made sure this stayed on the album. 6. Margarita No comment. Only close friends know why this is where it is in my ranking, it is too much to explain here. 5. Wish This was originally gonna be thrown into the "generic, meh" side of this album, until I heard the lines about needing a dream and wanting to fly, and I instantly got teary eyed. Instant top five. Cloudnone I love you. 4. Millennia The first 10/10 from me! This is Pixel Terror being Pixel Terror, and they're a hundred times better on instinct! 3. I'll Go Let's go back to 2008. I'm a six-year-old kid with no particular interest in music, other than knowing how to play a few simple songs on the piano, and one day I was in the car with my dad. He held up a CD and said "This guy plays piano, just like you!" I had no clue you could make a career out of playing the piano. The first song on that CD was what got me into MUSIC. I was completely intrigued. Fast forward twelve years, and I hear I'll Go. And for the first time in over a decade, I'm thrown back to 2008 and I'm suddenly six years old again, feeling just as intrigued as I did with that first listen. I'll Go has SO MUCH in common with that first song, no other song I'd heard sounded so similar. They are both in G Minor but with a G Major chord in them, they're both the same tempo, they both have kind of a somber feeling (albeit with the older one it's not consistent throughout the whole song), and the lyrics are about almost the same exact topic...needing to leave. By the way, that song is called Invisible Man by Joe Jackson on his Rain EP. 2. Urban Foxes I heard this, and I was like "instant number 1!" Until I heard my ACTUAL #1 song... 1. Time Travel Kool Aid Let me start off by explaining why it made top 10 before I explain what made it #1. This is a song with some of HAO's better lyricism, and it's SUCH a fun song because of Ephixa's production. But why number one? "Friends are like stars because no matter how far when it's dark outside they will be your light". Chills. Man, I love my friends. And it's so similarly worded to my senior quote: "People are like stars. Even if you feel like you're just another unnoticed person in the world, just know that you shine to someone. So do the world a favor, and shine to everyone."
